Hi everyone,
This morning I tried to add the plugin vacation local, but I got errors when
I tried it.
I explain, I set a auto-reply message + a forward on my test account, and
then I send a mail to this account from my hotmail account. The forward was
ok, but instead of getting the auto-reply at the sender address, I got this
mailer-daemon message:
----------------
The original message was received at Fri, 27 May 2005 10:03:38 +0200

[EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't have a valid shell for mailing to programs
----------------
What does valid shell for mailing to programs really means?
My pop users have /bin/false
I switched it to /bin/bash, but I got sthg similar:
Here is the message of the mailer-daemon:

smrsh: "vacation_local" not available for sendmail programs (stat failed)
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable
procmail: Couldn't read "/var/lib/squirrelmail/prefs/user-spamrc"
Here is my config.php file:
----------------
$vacation_backend = 'suid';
$ldap_lookup_ftp_server = 0;
$mail_vacation_binary = './squirrelmail_vacation_proxy';
$vacation_prefs_file = '.vacation.pref';
$sq_vacation_subject_file = '.forward.subj';
$sq_forward_addresses_file = '.forward.fwd';
$sq_vacation_file = '.vacation.sq';
$vacation_file = '.vacation.msg';
$vacation_delete = '.vacation.db';
$maintain_dot_forward_file = 1;
$vacation_path = '/usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/vacation_local';
$forward_file = '.forward';
$vac_debug = 0;
----------------
I tried with ftp, but it didn't work so I switched to suid (looks also
easier).
Thanks for helping!
Ben (using squirrelmail 1.4.3, sendmail 8.13.1, FC3)
