Your outgoing MTA would source this IP number, of course, not SM.

I can hack Postfix (my MTA) to ignore OUTGOING MUA addresses, but on the
other hand, I as receiving mailadmin trying to combat spam or whatever,
don't give a damn about the so-called originating IP - it's most often
forged anyway by a cognitive spammer. Fsck off nproxy.gmail.com, your
lousy origin. All I care about is the smtp client that glues itself to
my smtp server MTA and attempts to send spam (99% unsuccessful).

For a laugh I can go back to the origin and see that it was Martin
Schultz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> *AGAIN*, but that's not what I care about.

You *cannot* hide the fact that *your* node is the one that's sending me
spam, virus, DOS, whatever. Whatever your node says was the originating
IP is immaterial.
