Please reply in-line and not at the top so it's easier to figure out what
you are replying to.

If you can't be bothered to do it the better way that Chris suggests, then
grep the source for the strings you don't like and change them in the
source yourself.  Keep in mind you have to do this over and over again
every time you upgrade SM.  Also note that changing a couple strings in a
language file is just as easy (easier IMO) and it's also more robust and
upgrade proof.
