This is the one I used, and it worked like a champ.  I found the
iCal file that's causing the issues, and it is indeed the event
that I deleted.  However, it has ^M characters (the Windows thing)
in it - does the shared calendar code have an issue with this?

I'm not the one that created the original, so I'm not entirely
sure how it was done.  I have attached the event iCal file.

Well, not sure what to tell you -- the attached file is only the calendar, and not the event. Is the calendar devoid of events except this mystery one? The Windoze linefeeds probably don't matter. When the event was printed on your screen, I assume you saw event details for the event that should be gone but is not...? Looks like it may actually be a bug in that the event was not fully removed when you deleted it. Not sure if you'll be able to reproduce how that happened, but you can probably fix it this time by rooting out the actual event file (if using file backend) or database rows (if using SQL backend).
