[SM-USERS] change language

Hi,   I just installed 1.4.5 on my linux webhotel, and it is working fine.   Downloaded the language pack, and copied the da_DK into locale and help.   In the config i setup the $squirrelmail_default_language to da_DK.   But the site is still in us, but under display prefs is says Danish.     What am i missing?
