Sure, but.... patches are only implemented on behalf of the plugin maintainer (I'm a plugin developer and I wanted to bug fix some other plugins andt got a definitly NO-GO!). For more informations, take a look how long bugs are left in their open unassigned status on bug tracker... If you follow the discussions on the mailing list, you'll notice, that many many questions arises frequently again and again. Someadays it might happen, that the patch forum is mentioned on squirrelmail.org. Then probably the mail traffic on the mailing list will go down... No chance to make a "quick and dirty" patch/plugin available to the community on sourceforge (see a couple of discussions about that topic on gmane).
