I am experiencing a random problem with squirrelmail delays during
login. The login page pulls up immediately. If you log in with
invalid credentials the error page comes up immediately. If you
supply the correct credentials it takes squirrelmail about 196
seconds (average firefox reported time) to pull up the inbox page.
This has happened twice in the last 4 months.
Server setup:
debian stable, apache2, php4.3.10, dovecot imap server
No error message in syslog, apache error, mail.warn/err/info.
Restarted apache & dovecot with no effect. Restarted server with no
effect.
Syslog does show the imap login of the user so authentication seems
to take place. I'm not sure what it is after that causing the delay.
All other web pages and php applications on the server seem to be
responding fine. Once logged in squirrelmail seems to be acting fine.
It is only this REALLY long delay on successful auth.
Any ideas?
