That patch is an ssh patch and doesn't address the imapd PAM error. The
two bugs open on that issue are:
spamassassin sa-learn causing kernel errors

ipop3d (imap package) produces PAM error on checking email
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331683
