No - it's correct.
I've also tried the other way, which needs modifications in the  
"change_passwd" files.
The first recommended modification didn't reach, therefore I stopped the  
experiment.

The better way may be that the maintainer of the "change_passwd" plugin  
makes all the necessary modifications.
