hello!

I have set up qmail with vpopmail and sqwebmail and everything runs
perfectly.
I want to use maildrop filtering from sqwebmail.
I have followed all the documentation I found but I couldn't get this to
work, unfortunately. :(
What did I do wrong? Why doesn't it work? What am I missing?

Here is my configuration, on FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE:
qmail-1.03, vpopmail-4.9.8_1, sqwebmail-1.2.4, maildrop-0.64
and the two config files:
**** /var/qmail/rc
exec env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:$PATH" \
qmail-start '| maildrop' splogger qmail &
****
**** /usr/local/share/sqwebmail/maildirfilterconfig
MAILDIRFILTER=../.mailfilter
MAILDIR=./Maildir
****
With this configuration, I am able to set up filters that are put in:
/usr/local/vpopmail/domains/uem.utt.ro/cbo/.mailfilter
so, setting up filters works fine, from sqwebmail interface.
I can receive email just like before, but all email comes in INBOX and the
file .mailfilter is not even being read. (I looked at the access time using
/usr/compat/linux/usr/bin/stat .mailfilter, because I did not find any
freebsd tool that would show it to me; if anyone knows such a tool, please
tell me)
that was maildrop installed from /usr/ports/mail/maildrop
Why isn't the port upgraded to the latest version?
I modified the port so that it would compile with the latest version, that
is 1.3.0
there was no difference; still, it did not work.

I'm sorry for the length of this email, but I really want to get this done.
I find this to be a very good solution for running a mail server with
multiple domains, and it buggs me a lot do sort mails coming from mailing
lists manually in the corresponding folders.
I hope there is someone that runs something similar and can help me.

best regards,
Claudiu Bosioc
