I went away two years ago when the last installation worked just fine. I
just started from scratch on a new machine and got surprised:

Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf)
Kernel 2.4.2-2 on an i586 (Localized in Spanish by Red Hat)
Linux corozol.coop-cdc.com 2.4.2-2 #1 Sun Apr 8 19:37:14 EDT 2001 i586
unknown

Plus this:

apache_1.3.20
auth_ldap-1.6.0
autorespond-1.0.0
courier-imap-1.3.11
daemontools-0.76
djbdns-1.05
ezmlm-0.53
ezmlm-idx-0.40
mm-1.1.3
mod_perl-1.26
mod_ssl-2.8.4-1.3.20
ntp-4.0.99k
openldap-2.0.15
openssh-2.9p1
openssl-0.9.6
preauthvchkpw.c
qmailadmin-0.45 *
sqwebmail-3.1.0 *
vpopmail-5.0
vqadmin-1.6.tar.gz
vqregister-2.6.tar.gz
vqsignup-0.5.tar.gz
zlib-1.1.3

djbware installs fine
apache and parts install fine
ezmlm-idx installs fine
vpopmail-5.0 installs fine
both sqwebmail-3.1.0 and qmailadmin-0.45 balk on configure with

configure: error: vpopmail too old - upgrade

I used vpopmail-5.0 because I couldn't find 4.10 as directed:

Do not use the 4.9 version for
sqwebmail 3.0. Instead use the latest
4.10 development version on the link
below.

If this is a M page I should have FRd I apologize. Can anyone advise?

Thanks,
David Mitchell
