The thing is that we don't really have a good way to do a version check in
rtpengine right now. 😁 So that would have to be added there as well and back
ported, But then that would leave people running an updated version of Kamailio
against a version of rtpengine which hasn't been patched with the version check
in the dark, even though rtpengine itself would support it. So AFAICS that's
really only an option for future versions and not something that could be back
ported without negative side effects.
