You should not get crashes on TLS with the tls_thread_mode = 2 set, this should
the OpenSSL issue usually. Can you provide more context about the crashes, e.g.
in an issue?
I am not sure if adding TLS specific information to a TCP core structure is the
right way to go, it would be probably better to solve it in the tls module.
I also don't understand your description, first you are describing the problem
occurs with tcp_main_threads = 1, but later you are saying it happens in
tcp_main_thread = 0.
