Works ok on 4.4.6. So I suppose it's a weird 5.0.4 + my environment bug. I'm 
rolling back to 4.4.6 right now, will keep one 5.0.4 machine for testing (on 
debian 9)
Let me know if I can provide any dumps/cores etc.
