I keep getting "Bad archive mirror" when trying to download the Debian packages to install Debian 9.4. any help with this will be appreciated.

The other notion is somewhat more specific to the understanding fostered by the commercial SBC industry, and includes some things Kamailio either does not do well or to which it is not exceptionally well-suited. Which one are you after? Kamailio can certainly play the role you're wanting it to play, but you need to be aware of the trade-offs.
