Hi Praveen,

great that you found it. About the network - make sure that the server is
listen to the correct network as well. You can check e.g. with kamcmd
"corex.list_sockets"

Cheers,

Henning

Thank you Henning. I was able to make the reg event work. Earlier, I confused
between compiling and loading the modules. Thought that just compiling the
module would make themselves available. Later, understood that we have to load
them in .cfg file. By loading presence_reginfo module it started working.

Now the issue I am facing is like, my server is installed in 172.0.0.0 network
and not receiving packets from 10.0.0.0 network. But the ping between these two
networks is successful.

Thanks,
Praveen.

Hello Praveen,

according to the docs this might help you:

"This modules publishes information about "reg"-events according to to RFC
3680."

https://kamailio.org/docs/modules/5.2.x/modules/pua_reginfo.html<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/jg_BCrkV6lhAvEKJh76qR-?domain=kamailio.org>

Today I made some progress. Though, I didn’t achieve what I am looking for but
able to get 202 Accepted and NOTIFY for “presence” event. For “reg” event 489
Bad event response is received.

What I can see in the 489 response is that Allow-Events header does not contain
“reg”, it just has presence, xcap-diff, presence.winfo.

Below are the modules I have tried loaded:

  1. Presence.so
  2. Pua.so
  3. Presence_reginfo.so
  4. Presence_xml.so

Could you please help me in supporting “reg” event.

Thanks,
Praveen

Subject: RFC 3860 support - Kamailio is sending SUBSCRIBE back with extra Via
header

Hi Kamailio support,

Basically, I am looking for RFC3860 support – i.e., accept SUBSCRIBE for reg
event and send 200OK, NOTIFY to client.
With some browsing on Internet I came across Kamailio, which is supporting
RFC3860. I have installed and attached is my CFG file.

I am sending a SUBSCRIBE request with reg event to Kamailio and it is sending
back the same request with extra Via header.
Via now contains Kamailio system IP and the source of SUBSCRIBE IP.

Please help me in resolving this issue.
I have loaded db_mysql, dialplan, tm, sl, presence, presence_reginfo modules.

Thanks,
Praveen
