Planning, testing, & validation 2. Availability a. Load-balancing b. Clustering c. Replication (database & file) 3. Application messaging, Enterprise Service Bus, and application monitoring 4. Data protection/backup/BCP (technology side)/DR 5. SAN storage layout and performance (disk i/o and throughput, specifically) on NetApp storage 6. SQL 2005 & 2008/Windows platform (target) 7. Sybase/Sun Solaris platform (source) 8. Infrastructure design concepts *Responsibilities* Contribute to development of an overall architecture for the “to-be” consolidated platform, as facilitated by the Enterprise Architect. Work with vendor partners (application & ITO), business, and IT to deliver a detailed technical design for the “to-be” consolidated platform, based on the architecture.
