Job Description:* **
*Build Release Engineer*
*Responsibilities:*
· Support our Continuous Integration Build Environment and Automated
Migration Processes.
· Creation of software builds and Automate releases and installation
in Test and Prod environment
· Overseeing build and deployment of Application releases to
production and non-production environment.
· Automating build and deployment process for all in house
applications and vendor driven specific applications
· Trouble shoot Application Configuration issues in lower test and
production environments
· Configure and ensure the automated build and test suites run
smoothly.
· Document and maintain automated Build Migrations scripts
· Manage and Control the Source Code Repositories
· Integrate the Branch and Merge process with every release of
change into Production.
· Ensure proper release procedures are followed to all environments
including production.
· Participate in the improvement, documentation, communication and
enforcement of configuration engineering processes for software
applications.
· Reporting on configuration status of development, test and
production environments.
· Provide revision history for application build to source code
· Assisting developers with development issues related to CM tool
use (branching, merging and tagging)
· Maintain and Support Developer Tools
· Configure Developer VM Environments
· Build and Maintain Dependency Management System
· Maintain and Support QA Tools and Administer ALM (Application
Lifecycle Management)
· Configure / Develop / Maintain tools and other assets that enable
IT to better understand, track, trend, and monitor application performance
· Run Performance/Load base tests and Assist in the identification
and isolation of performance issues
· Identify potential capacity issues and recommend remediation steps
before performance is impacted
· Monitor existing hardware, software, systems performance and
recommend ways to more effectively utilize of resources
· Support application development groups / project teams in areas of
performance testing and tuning

*Desired Skills:*

- Administrative Experience with Source Control (SVN, VSS, CVS, TFS etc)
- Source Code Client Tools (TortoiseSVN, Ankh, Subclipse)
- Continuous Integration Concepts
- Cruise Control (Java & .Net)
- Maven
- Team Foundation Server
- Experience in Building and Automated Deploying for
- C# and .NET Applications using MSBuild, NAnt and other build tools.
- Java using Ant, WSAdmin (WebSphere) Scripts
- WebMethods

*Experience in configuring and maintaining the following technologies:*
* *VB6, ASP, .Net, Java
QA Tools – HP Quality Center, Quick Test Professional
*Knowledge of testing tool is desirable*
