*HIRING NOW.....!!!* ** *Job Title: SAS Programmer Location: Washington, DC Job Length: 6+ months* ** *Job Description:* Developer III Specialized performs high complexity system analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications and tools based on stakeholder's requirements and user specification documents. The candidate also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles. *ABILITIES AND SKILLS:* - Work is generally high in scope and complexity. Able to develop solutions and resolve a wide range of issues, as necessary. Work may be performed without or with limited direction. Typically participate in determining objectives of and approaches to assignments. - Contribute to all phases of software development life cycle for financial and credit risk modeling application components and systems. Able to design new and enhance existing model components and modeling architecture framework. - Able to capture system requirements and solution in documents via reverse engineering. Able to document application system artifacts, technical issues, and recommendations clearly and in a manner that ensures proper understanding by both business and technical staff. - Collaborate with other team members, business units, and user groups to identify impacts of changes or enhancements, estimate level of efforts, and provide inputs to project schedules. - Must be able to follow company or division standards and procedures when develop tools and applications - Provide technical guidance or consultation to less senior staff. Share knowledge and experience with other team members. Train or mentor users based on their needs. - May require to work after normal working hours and weekends when needed. *TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* - Experienced developer has 5-7+ years of professional experience in requirements analysis, design, development, and testing for software applications or systems, with at least 2 years in a highly technical and quantitative field. - Certified SAS expert in Base SAS and SAS macro language with strong experience deciphering existing SAS code. - Able to develop new functionality and implement new models in a combination of SAS, UNIX shell/Perl, and AUTOSYS script implementation. - Proficient in UNIX, UNIX Shell scripting, and SQL.
