The ideal candidate will be the “Willy Wonka” of user interface design with the skills to manufacture “eye candy” in the form of clean and professional-looking user interfaces that are also very intuitive and user-friendly to use. The user interface is the first impression for our clients and is a critical component of our products. The candidate will be working with the VP of Software Development, Subject Matter Experts, and most importantly, the CEO who has the final say on how things look and function. The ideal candidate will be able to go from analysis, to conceptual wireframe designs, to producing hollow non-functional WPF/XAML screens that will be handed over to Software Engineers to implement in the product. The candidate will be able to work with his/her tool(s) of choice such as Expression Blend, PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc. (provided the cost of such tools is reasonable). The candidate’s designs will serve as the central specification of the story cards utilized for sprints in agile development. The ideal candidate will not only be a graphic artist but also technically skilled enough to implement designs in WPF / XAML. The majority of the work (90-95%) will be in WPF but may also involve web page design.
