*Senior Business Support Analyst*

 Overview:

The Business Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting users of
the *eCommerce* systems (CSS) at Macys.com, including  product catalog,
content management, imaging systems, retail planning and forecasting, and
data services.  These systems facilitate enhanced metadata on product,
pricing, promotion, and customer data for all our channels: macys.com,
bloomingdales.com, email, mobile, search, in-store systems, partner
vendors, and future Omni channel opportunities.

The successful candidate will help identify and document business
requirements and workflow details of new features and enhancements, as well
as be a functional SME who provides on-going user support to business and
creative stakeholders.



*Key Accountabilities*

·         Self-motivated, highly driven, result and commitment oriented.
Builds strong working relationship with production support, product
managers, system analysts, development and QA teams.

·         Interfaces with key individuals representing business,
operations, and technology to drive business requirements definition.
Experienced in assessing and managing scope of work, decomposing high level
business requirements and developing lower level stories/tasks.

·         Monitors user satisfaction and resolves issues related to an
application involving team members, vendors, business partners, etc.  Shows
good judgment in escalating issues to management.

·         Understands business process workflows and how they are supported
through existing systems. Accurately analyzes critical details of business
issues and opportunities to understand and define the key requirements
necessary for proposed projects and enhancements

·         Communicates effectively with business users to identify and
prioritize needs, articulate business impact and workarounds, and evaluate
alternative business solutions. Coordinates activities across various
cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Business and IT)

·         Knowledgeable on business process and data analysis, functional
design, modeling, system development processes, and software testing.

·         Creates user training and on-going support documentation, and
facilitates training sessions.

·         Ability to work both independently and in a team setting, and
deliver high quality work in a consistent manner in an Agile project
environment.

 ·         Preferred previous experience working directly with or in a
consultative role with an ecommerce and/or retail organization


*Skills Summary/Qualifications:*

·         Bachelor's degree in relevant field of work or equivalent work
experience

·         Must have extremely strong interpersonal skills and the ability
to maintain and develop top-level, internal and external relationships.
Liaising across multiple business and technology functions, relationship
building and consensus building are a must

·         Should be highly collaborative and comfortable working with
various levels of management

·         Must have extremely strong documentation and oral communication
skills
·         Must have extremely strong listening, requirements elicitation,
analysis & problem solving skills.

·         Must have strong strategic and creative thinking, and decision
making skills

·         Must be customer focused with high quality standards

·         Advocates internal BSA team process improvements and development

·         6+ years working on projects encompassing both IT systems and
business process change

·         6+ years of experience analyzing, clarifying and translating
business/functional requirements

·         6+ years of experience in documenting current and future states
business process flows

·         3+ years of experience technical troubleshooting and problem
solving
