Will be responsible for building and designing new products for Nexus and our customers. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:* · Build underlying services and systems to support a web service based application · Write automated tests to ensure proper functionality of implementation and allow for confident refactoring · Design and implement using a reusable component architecture · Participate in the user story planning process with product, other Java Software Engineers, and QA to ensure comprehensive solutions to customer needs. · Participate in key open source projects with the open source community. · Contribute to existing development projects in either Java or Python *Experience, Skills and Abilities:* · Minimum of two (2+) years of previous experience in Java software engineering with knowledge of Java, SQL, Web Services (REST or SOAP) and object-oriented programming techniques · Experience or desire to learn test driven development and running through detailed test cases and writing integration and unit tests · Active involvement in a product lifecycles (experience with Agile development techniques is a big plus) and Java coding every day · Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams · Experience in Networking, Open vSwitch, OVSDB, Open Flow a plus · Experience in Python a plus · Experience in working with Service Abstraction Layers a plus · The person in this role must also demonstrate the following: the ability to appear to work on time, accept constructive criticism, develop & maintain positive team cohesiveness and the ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures. *Education:* · MS or BS in computer science or related field or equivalent Java knowledge and experience Thank You, Regards, Anshu Sr .
