The Network Business Services Operations (NBSO) team partners with
Service Product Management to plan, develop and deploy new service
offerings to Client’s Cust

omers and Partners on a global basis.  We are seeking a Business
Analyst to assist and support in team operations, data analysis,
metrics, service program suppo

rt, process documentation and improvement.  Candidate must have be
assertive, and have the ability to manage details and have superior
analysis, problem solving

 and data organization skill set.

The role of NBSO Business Analyst (BA) is to:
•
Perform deep dive analysis in collaboration with key operational
stakeholders to analyze services new product introduction (NPI)
business requirements and ide

ntify solutions to bring the products to market in line with the
business strategy and objectives
•
Assist Operations Leads/PMs to scope operations projects to implement
the new service products.  Translate solutions into operational
project plans and work t

o implement the solution.  Assume execution responsibility of key
project work activities.
•
Take assignment of operational issues and risks that arise during the
project.  Identify alternatives to resolve issues as well as risk
mitigation plans.  Wor

k with stakeholders to select remediation options and execute steps to
implement.
•
Become the subject matter expert for the assigned areas of business
focus.  Provide specialized knowledge and expertise as needed both
within the project (e.g

. process development, change management) and for day-to-day
run-the-business activities (field support).  Help field teams where
needed to execute operational

transactions as part of the backline support process (known as “level 3”).
•
Contribute knowledge to field training deliverables.  Assist in the
review, edit and update of new and existing training materials
•
Assess the performance of the operational business solutions
implemented after launch and through the normalization period.
Identify improvement opportunitie

s.
•
Gather and document key learnings from field support personnel to
recommend future operational enhancements and optimization.

Required skills/qualifications:
• BA/BS degree
• Minimum 3-5 years Business Analyst experience

Desired experience:
• Has worked in the Enterprise Computer Hardware Industry
•
Has spent significant time working in one or more of the following
functional areas:  Sales Operations, Support Operations, “Back Office”
Operations
• Has worked on support service NPI (new product introduction) projects
•
Has played a significant role working in a project team either as a
leader or contributor, where that project was successfully executed
through to closure
•
Strong understanding of the opportunity-to-cash business processes and
business applications used for services, including customer and
discount setups, quotin

g, booking, invoicing, service contract setup and management, service
contract renewals.
•
Strong understanding of the differences of operationally transacting
services in various ways including direct sales, reseller deals, VAR
transactions, distri

bution and selling services at the product point of sale.

Desired knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Strength in structured problem solving methodologies (i.e. DMAIC)
•
Ability to identify and analyze complex program, process and tool requirements
•
Ability to formulate implementation options and help achieve win-win
solutions for internal stakeholders, Customers and Partners
• Knowledge in business intelligence and reporting tools desired
•
Strong partnering, influencing & communication skills for all levels
(i.e. individuals at the peer, management and executive level)
•
Knowledge of the product lifecycle process – with a focus on how to
take it products to market, how to sell, fulfill and support it, all
the way through to en

d of life
•
Ability to quickly learn about a business area of focus and become the
SME (subject matter expert) for that area acting as a reference
•
Certification or strong knowledge of formal project management
methodology (e.g. PMI PMBOK practices or equivalent)
• Works independently with minimal supervision required
• Ability to work cross functionally and globally with stakeholders
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills to audiences of all levels
