Position *:* *Oracle DBA* Location: Tallahassee, FL Duration: 12 months+ *SUMMARY: * It is the intent of the Department of Education (Department), using the Request for Quote (RFQ) process, to select the most qualified Information Technology Consulting Services, Project Area #4 vendor on the State of Florida, Information Technology Consulting Services Contract #973-561-10-1 to provide a Database Administrator (3 Positions) from November 2014 - June 2015 for an estimated 2080 hours per candidate per fiscal year for *Oracle – SQL Server database migration* to include: *• Migration analysis* *• Migration plan* *• Migration tests* *• SQL Server installation* *• SQL Server configuration* The selected candidate will work on-site at the FDOE in Tallahassee, Florida, Monday –Friday, 8am – 5pm, and adhere to the published state holiday schedule. Although normal working hours are 8am – 5pm, due to the nature of the business, there may be times when the Database Administrator may have to work after hours or on weekends. Requests for time off or schedule variance must be approved by the Project Manager per established process. The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) maintains the Education Data Warehouse (EDW) on the Oracle platform at the Southwood Shared Resource Center. Leadership has directed that the EDW be migrated from the Oracle platform to the SQL Server platform located at Northwest Regional Data Center. FLDOE is seeking 3 Database Administrators with the following minimum qualifications, must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks: • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience • 3+ years of experience administering Oracle 10g/11g databases • 3+ years of experience administering SQL Server 2008/2012 databases • 3+ years of experience with database migration from oracle platform to SQL Server platform • Experience in writing, testing and executing PL-SQL • Experience in writing, testing and executing T-SQL • Experience with IBM DataStage preferred • Experience with SAS Data Integration studio preferred • Experience producing technical documentation related to the requirements, specifications, design, testing, and operations • Experience executing test plans and managing debugging process • Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings • Experience facilitating technical sessions, webinars, interviews, or other meetings • Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills *Best Regards*, *Prashant Mishra* Executive Talent Acquisition *Tekshapers Inc. * *Contact : 248-565-4747* *Ext*- *174* *E-mail/G-Talk*: *[email protected]* <[email protected]> | *W: * *www.tekshapers.com* <http://www.tekshapers.com/> In case of any grievance please do contact my manager- Ashish| [email protected]|Ext-152 P *Save trees.
