HPOV development skill @ Bloomington, IL Rate - $45/hr Resource is needed with the following working knowledge: HP Openview Operations Manager Linux(OVO/OML), Linux and Windows OS shell programming experience, Perl, Python and Javascript programming. A working knowledge of Cisco IOS, and IP PBX systems, particularly Cisco Call Manager is also desired, but not needed. This person is a partnership effort with Automation to locate with the Network team in Bloomington to help reduce workload by implementing automated solutions that have been requested. The Individual with this knowledge will be performing the following tasks: 1. Work with subject matter experts to resolve any questions 2. Create OVO/OML templates and/or scripts to provide monitoring solutions 3. Test monitoring solutions to ensure they are working as designed 4. Work with ITSS (command center) on procedural and or acceptance pilots 5. Document monitoring solution in design document 6. Provide information to service side for transition of the monitoring Strong programming and Linux experience is a must, along with solid work experience with the OVO/OML tool. Understanding and use of advanced Even-ting concepts such as Event Correlation, Automatic Remediation and event suppression are also important. The individual must be a strong communicator and be able to explain technical information in non-technical terms. Additional skills desired: The ability to provide support, maintenance strategy for products which enable Service Management at State Farm. Stewarding the Enterprise Systems Management process. Support, maintain and create automation tools which detect and prevent outages on our networks and systems, as well as quickly recover failures, assist in diagnosis, or streamline processes.
