Interesting problem here...
OS/SSH Version: Solaris 2.5/ssh_2.0.12
ISSUE: When implementing the "force user to change password on next login"
option on a user account (such as with "passwd -f" on Solaris), when the
user telnets/rlogins in the next time, he/she will get the message and
instructions to change their password. However, when ssh'ing in instead,
the remote host daemon (or local client) dies apparently when it
encounters this. This is obviously a problem, since one would would
definitely want to remotely change a passwd through an encrypted session.
QUERY: Is there something I need to modify in either of the ssh_config
files to fix this, or another workaround remedy, or is this a flaw in ssh?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
