We had a "freezing" problem with ssh 1.2.27. The problem was ssh was
installed setuid. ssh will then use ports <1024 and our firewall blocked
all ssh communication coming back in. You can try ssh -P assuming you have
a firewall problem??? If you don't have a firewall then compile ssh with
debugging enabled and ssh -d ? and look at the debug information.
