So? Some firewalls stop you getting out (ours does - we use SOCKS to get
out). Maybe ssh and telnet are in the list allowed _in_ (which is a bit odd -
letting telnet in is pretty much an invitation to hack).
BTW, the IP#s you cite seem to be internal sites. I can't reverse their
IP#s into names nor ping them. Could easily be firewall trouble.
Try this:
ssh -v -l cs zipperii.zip.com.au uptime
That's my ISP, which I know is not behind a firewall and does speak ssh -
what results do you get for that? If it says connection refused I'd say you
have a firewall at your end rejecting outgoing ssh connections.
