Hi Srinivasan,

You won't need telnet at all with ssh, it takes it's place. Ftp, however,
is a different story depending on which ssh you use. Ssh1 will only
encrypt the ftp control connection not the data. Ssh2 has a separate
client that does both. Deciding which ssh to use is up to you and your
needs.
