ssh port forwarding on ipchains machine

Hi all

I am still having a problem with port forwarding on a ipchains linux 2.2.13
machine using ssh
I do have my syntax correct. But the moment I try to connect to the
forwarded port the connection hangs.
I did try this on an internal machine with just one ip and it works ok.
So , I am asking asking this question agina in a different way,
are there any caveats to setting up port forwarding on a dual-home ipchains
firewall machine.
Has anybody gotten it to work
