Greetings,
I just joined the list, and have searched through the archive
(12/10/99-today - is there more???), SSH-FAQ, ssh.org, and few .edu's, and
even the man pages...
I am using Solaris 2.6, Compac Tru 64 4.0d, 4.0e, RH Linux, and AIX. We
have our own PKI and CA. I am currently running ssh2 on all the above
systems except Linux which should be up soon. Everything is being done
manually thus far.
Anyway, can you point me in a direction on where to find:
* Can sftp be setup to use a change root jail like wu-ftp?
* What is the opinion for the best programming language for scripting sftp
(Perl, Expect, etc)?
I am currently working with our webmaster, and looking at the possibility of
how to support is current perl scripts that keep his web servers mirrored.
(no mget, mput in sftp). Also, what type of authentication is suggested.
* I have seen on http://www.ipsec.com/products/x509/ where X.509 is
supported, does anyone have experience with this?
* Are there sufficient error messages with sftp transfers?
* I have read that some people like scripting scp2 instead of sftp. Is
this true? And are there performance preferences?
TIA,
Jim
