also note that for instance when you have multiple private keys to use ssh @
least the way i do you need to do a..
ssh -lmyname -i whichprivate.key hostimconnecting -p portnumber
hope that helps..
first think you need to do is do a ..
$ssh-keygen
on the box that you wish access to..
and as carl mentioned you need read everything as it does come in handy..
