For some reason with ssh-1.2.27 on Debian 2.1 Linux, ssh is not
setting the display variable on the remote machine. ssh -v gives:
john: Remote: RSA authentication accepted.
john: RSA authentication accepted by server.
john: Requesting pty.
john: Failed to get local xauth data.
john: Requesting X11 forwarding with authentication spoofing.
john: Requesting authentication agent forwarding.
john: Requesting shell.
The server side logs show nothing out of the ordinary.
The display variable gets set by telnet, but not ssh.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
