I have tried this. It wouldn't do it on a fresh install, and it won't do it after I
delete all the keys that i have imported to try and fool it. I am out of ideas here. I
get no errors and have nothing to go on except the cpu is not able to generate the
number/code for this key. Any thoughts?

Try the following,
Delete all the private and public keys on that Server. Then regenerate
the keys.

Subject: install won't generate key
I am trying to install SSH-2.1.13 on a Sun Ultra Enterprise 450 and it
complies fine and installs all the binaries correctly then it proceeds to
start generating the 1024 bit key and hangs. I have let it run for three
days and no sighs of anything being done. I have to other identical boxes
that this worked flawlessly on, the only difference is the CPU speed. it is
faster on the box that won't work. All other configurations are the same
down to disk layout and software. two servers at 248 MHz, and the one that
won't work is at 298 MHz. Any thoughts? These servers are running Solaris 7
with 512 mb ram.
Thank you in advance!
