I was wondering if it's possible to use SSH to do authentication and HTTP to set
environment variables (eg REMOTE_HOST and REMOTE_USER). Has anyone done such a
thing?

In the end, I'd like some way to have REMOTE_USER set to the authenticated
remote user so that many remote users can use the same system account and the
one application (ie CVS) they use may know who they really are.

Thanks,
Noel
