In the README of ssh-1.2.27 it says there is a tty problem for some versions of the scheme of making pty's. The author says that 5 different schemes are handled but there are many remaining methods not handled. The cause error messages "no controlling tty". Is this also true for openssh-2.1.Op3? Using Mandrake7.0 Linux with openssh-2.1.Op3, I get the message "no controlling tty" when running scp. So I ask the question which OS's have acceptable pty's for scp? My freebsd3.2 seems to work with ssh-1.2.27.
