After looking through section 5.13 of the newly updated FAQ (thanks, anne) I
am interested in using PGP keys for authentication with SSH.
Can anyone point me to some documentation regarding this? I've had a look
at include/sshpgp.h and lib/sshpgp/* with little luck finding any
documentation.
I see that in all of these files that OpenPGP is the version of PGP which is
implemented in SSH2. Does anyone know how the keys from this this version
of PGP differs from the newly released PGP Freeware v6.5.3 from MIT?
There seem to be several versions of a particular private and public key,
specifically ascii and binary versions of each. Of these 4 files, which are
to be used for SSH?
Also, the SSH2 manpage shows several PGP configuration options for the
~/.ssh2/{identification,authorization} files, but I'm not sure if all of
these options are required.... such as the keyid, keyname, fingerprint,
etc. Which of these values provide a bare minimum configuration to allow
proper function?
Thanks much,
Howard
