Hi there,
hope you can help with a problem I encountered switching from ssh2.0
to OpenSSH 2.2.1.
I just recently switch from the restricted non-commercial version of
ssh2.0 to openssh 2.2.1. I compiled all parts of openssh (zlib 1.1.3,
openssl 0.9.5a, and openssh 2.2.1) totally from scratch new and
installed it after removing the old ssh from my mashine.
Starting openssh 2.2.1 daemon does work okay and standard Password
Auth does work fine too. But neither Version 1 RSA nor Version 2 DSA
PublicKey Authentification does work.
I tried all possible combinations with copying the appropriate files
(identity.pub to authorized_keys and id_dsa.pub to authorized_keys2)
as used under the old ssh2.0 (restricted version) but I just cannot
establish a login with this PublicKey Auth. Always ssh switches back
to Password Auth.
At the end of this mail is a Part of the DebugLogfiles during my Connect Attempts.
I hope anyone knows this Problem and got a solution for it.
