You have to have an X manager like Exceed or ReflectionX running
on your windows box to display "X" programs on a Windows based PC.
Unix workstations like those running Solaris or Linux have the
X manager neccessary to do this.

Hi all!

This is my second day of playing with ssh. I've read all the docs I
could
get my netscape on (ssh-faq, Remote-X-Apps, VPN-howto) but I was unable
to start an X application from a windows box on the LAN.
I get all the time this error:

peter]$ netscape &
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server
"localhost.localdomain:10.0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

What is happening? Should this be working ;) ? Is there some aditional
software to be used?
I'm not used to ssh and telnet so I don't even know how this task should
work.

Console programs work just fine.
I use this: ssh-commercial-server-2.2.0 (with X)
SSHWin-2.2.0, Linux RedHat 6.1, kernel 2.2.15, XFree86-3.3.5-3.

configs:
in /etc/sshd_config:
X11Forwarding yes

in /etc/hosts.allows
sshd2fwd:
sshdfwd:
