Hi Garikai,

sshd2 connects to your machine ... UNIX that is, it may be different
if you have installed onto a Windows system ... in the same manner as
telnet as far as the internal system workings go. This means that for
a *sh* or *ksh* (posix, bourne, or korne shells), you would need to
export the TMOUT variable to some number of seconds ...
       eg.
TMOUT=120; export TMOUT
       or (on newer UNIX systems)
export TMOUT=120

For *csh*, you would issue:
       set autologout=120
for csh, this is a new variable and some operating
systems have not adopted this yet. If the operating system's csh is
POSIX compliant however this variable should be available.
read your man page on csh and you may see some indication of the
existance of autologout. Or issue the command "set" to see if it is
preset, some systems have the default set to 60.
This "set" command for csh would be entered into the users .login
or .cshrc file. The "export TMOUT" commands would be entered into the
.profile of each user the change is needed for. Inside these files
the commands may need a ";" (semi-colon) at the line.

Be careful though, if these timeout changes are used in an open lab
setting so as you do not get them set to awful high.
