Hi Hiranya,

There could be a hundred reasons for this. Are you going through a
gateway or a firewall? Are they using SSH1 or SSH2 on the remote host?
Try SSHing to yourself like this:

$ ssh localhost

If that works then something on the other end is not letting you in. Port
22 could be blocked for some reason.
