Automating sftp with UNIX scripts

     Hi, all
     
     I want to automate sftp session to get and put files on the ssh2 
     server through such as cron job. Is this possible to use sftp2? I 
     tried to write a script much similar as regular ftp scripts to 
     automatically get and put files on the ftp server without human 
     interaction but failed. Does anyone know how? Thanks in advance.
