Hi Please send your reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED], since I'm not subscribed to the list... I have a box behind a SOCKS-firewall and want to connect to the internet... Only in the SSH_SOCKS_SERVER there is a username, but I don't need one for my connection. (I can't even use one, I tried 'anonymous' but that didn't work.) I tried; ssh host -o 'SocksServer socks://socks-proxy:1080' too, but that also results in an FATAL: Connecting to host failed: TCP/IP Failure (BTW, I know ssh tried to connect to the socks-proxy so it isn't an tcp-configuration error...)
