I'm trying to get OpenSSH running under SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 but I'm
using the gcc
compiler (I gave up on the native one quite a while ago while trying to
get php up).

My problem is one that has been reported previously but I never saw a
resolution. When I run configure it reports that zlib needs to be
installed. I did install 1.1.3 when I made php. The libz.a and libz.so,
etc. are in /usr/local/lib. libz.h is in /usr/local/include. There's
also a link to libz.so in /usr/lib. Is there a specific path that I need

to set to get the configure to find it? I tried LDFLAGS="/usr/local/lib"

but that didn't help.

I'm not a C programmer (COBOL actually) so I'm kinda not sure what the
heck I'm doing.

Any help would be appreciated.
