Hi,
I have a question. I'm somewhat new at this so bear with me as I describe
what I'd like to accomplish.
System: RedHat Linux 6.2 on Intel, OpenSSH 2.3.0p1-1
Target Use: File server for customers
What I'd like to do is create a user account on the system (userX) that will
access files using 'ssh' and/or 'scp'. I would like to set up the system so
that the user cannot change the directory to anything outside of their
account directory, but the user needs to be able to create files (but not
subdirectories) in their account directory. The goal is to not allow users
to browse in other customer's directories or other system directories (like
/etc).
In looking over the OpenSSH docs I don't think there is a server
configuration option to accomplish this. Am I missing something?
