Hi, Rick and the list!
Finally someone with the same problems as I! I also cannot get the
sftp-server in OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 to work. I connect using the sftp windows
client from F-Secure, but just lose the connection as soon as I've
authenticated, with the same error in the logs:
error: channel 0: internal error: we do not read, but chan_read_failed for
istate 8
However, I do not understand Markus Fiedl's reply:
"this is not related to openssh's sftp-server.
you have to install the client and server
from the 'other' sftp package from xbill.org"
I've contacted OpenSSH directly but have only been suggested to try a recent
snapshot. Sounds like they have no idea what could be wrong :(. So far I
haven't bothered to reinstall "a recent snapshot", so I don't know if it
would help.
Solong,
Olof
