Dear folks,

I cannot slogin or ssh to machines without typing a password or
passphrase even though I have carefully put my public key
/home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa.pub into the file
/home/nicku/.ssh/authorized_keys2 on the remote machine.
$slogin -v remote
....
debug: try pubkey: /home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa
debug: PEM_read_bio_DSAPrivateKey failed
debug: read DSA private key done
Enter passphrase for DSA key '/home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa':

$ rpm -qa | grep openssh
openssh-server-2.3.0p1-4
openssh-askpass-2.3.0p1-4
openssh-askpass-gnome-2.3.0p1-4
openssh-clients-2.3.0p1-4
openssh-2.3.0p1-4

I have used OpenSSH with the SSH1 protocol for a long time, using
RSAAuthentication, and not needing to type passphrases.

I can list my keys:
ssh-add -l
1024 3c:3f:6a:6f:65:51:ea:ab:a6:03:ff:1c:a6:55:f4:cf
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
1024 3c:b7:cb:35:c5:3a:da:70:d7:f1:39:b3:4b:ae:9c:0e
/home/nicku/.ssh/id_dsa

My ssh_config:
Host *
   Compression yes
   ForwardX11 yes
   RhostsAuthentication no
   RhostsRSAAuthentication no
   FallBackToRsh no
   Protocol 2,1
   DSAAuthentication yes
   UsePrivilegedPort no

Please help! I am happy to provide moer information, I just really need
to get this working, as I want my students to be able to do it too!
