What are the errors you are seeing?  Run sshd in debug mode (sshd -d) and
the ssh in verbose mode (ssh -v).  I had something that sounded similar.  I
build sshd with "--without-pam" because I didn't want to have to configure
PAM since I only wanted to control authentication by dsa keys.  That worked
for me.

Hi all..

I seem to be having a strange problem
I have a local account on my linux box, I've generated the ssh-keys for
myself (nonroot account)

When I try to ssh into my box I keep getting a login error.

The logs show an authentication error for my user account.

How can this be ?
