Solaris 7 and 8 are downward compatible. Wouldn't make an awful lot of
sense any other way.

The 64 bit kernel runs 32 bit binaries just fine. Wouldn't make any
sense any other way...
In fact, I've been totally unable to build a 64-bit version of ssh1
(ssh.com version) on Solaris 7 using Sun Workshop 5.0 compilers.
Not that I care, it's just an academic exercise really.
