That's not an issue since the ftp username/password is not used for
anything, you can use a dummy username/password. You first do the normal
connect/authenticate to the ssh server, then the "bridge" is started which
you in turn connect to using your normal ftp client, hence no need for the
stubborn users to switch "file-transfer-client" just because you turn off
ftp :-).
